During winter, both nature and bees slow down — and it’s the perfect moment to return to simple, natural rituals that support our well-being.
One gentle daily habit we truly enjoy in colder months is tea with fresh ginger and OPRASHI honey. This natural honey and ginger drink is easy to prepare and has been traditionally used to support immunity, digestion, and overall wellness during winter.
Our exact honey & ginger recipe
Ingredients (for 1 litre):
– 1 litre of water
– Fresh ginger root: 5–7 thin slices (approx. 10–15 g)
– OPRASHI raw honey: 1 tablespoon (added later)
Preparation:
1. Bring 1 litre of water to a gentle boil.
2. Add ginger slices and simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and let cool naturally.
4. When the temperature reaches 40–45°C, add honey and stir gently. Add a slice of lemon.
How and when to drink it:
– Sip throughout the day
– Best in the morning and early afternoon
– Avoid in the evening
Why not in the evening?
Ginger is naturally warming and stimulating and may interfere with relaxation or sleep if consumed late.
This is a small, conscious winter habit rooted in nature and simplicity.
